About Kyung

My Philosphy
During the last 40+ years of my teaching career, the most rewarding thing for me was when an average student came to me and started their music study from the bottom and then gradually made progress. Working hard together, this student would participate in competitions and even start winning. It’s this teamwork of three – student, parent and teacher – that makes the success of the student and I am lucky to have supportive parents throughout this process.

Most students stay with me until they graduate high school. Students became a part of my family. I call it my “second family”. That is the strength and success of our studio. Winning competitions is not our goal. I believe if a student works hard and enjoys their music making process, wonderful results and rewards will always be waiting for them. Their hard work and dedication will pay back in the end. It’s this process that is so rewarding and I always enjoy being a part of their growth.
